Thirty-eight products were sampled, including 22 soft drinks (in cans, glass or PET plastic bottles) and 16 beer samples (in cans and glass bottles). BPA was detected in 20 products: in all canned soft drink samples (concentrations ranged from 0.019 to 0.21 µg/L). No BPA was detected in the soft drinks in glass bottles, and in only one soft drink sample packaged in PET (0.018 µg/L). The chemical was found in all canned beer samples (range 0.081 to 0.54 µg/L) and in one bottled beer sample (at 0.054 µg/L).
